['moːlskɪn, englisch 'məʊlskɪn; eigentlich »Maulwurfsfell«] der oder das, -s/-s, Textiltechnik: 1) Deutschleder, Englischleder, Pilot, schwerer Stoff für Berufskleidung aus Baumwolle mit hoher Schuss- und geringer Kettdichte, meist in Schussatlasbindung, zum Teil durch Unterschuss verstärkt (Doppelpilot), linksseitig geraut; für die Kette verwendet man meist gezwirnte, für den Schuss weich gedrehte Garne; 2) Taschenatlas, glatter Taschenfutterstoff aus Baumwolle (oder Chemiefasern) in dichter Atlasbindung (z. B. mit Mattglanz durch Behandlung mit dem Riffelkalander).
